"Putting the FUN into FUNdraising! What a day we had yesterday on the Bull Run!"
On 3rd July 2025, 90 enthusiastic “runners” gathered in Birmingham’s iconic Jewellery Quarter for BullRun 12: Peaky Bullers, organised by the Temple Row Wealth Management Team and raising an impressive £7,375 for Kids’ Village.
Kids’ Village is on a mission to create the UK’s first holiday village for children with critical illnesses and their families, right in the heart of Lichfield.
The pub crawl fundraiser route saw our Peaky Bullers visit four fantastic local venues. We began at Hotel Du Vin, where we donned our striking red BullRun t-shirts – generously designed, printed and donated by Speed One Sports.
Our second stop was The Jam House, where we snacked on crisps and chocolate en route. We weren’t the only ones handing out treats – BullRun sponsor React Energy were also sharing some of their branded merchandise. React Energy are experts in air conditioning, as well as solar and renewable energy solutions.
A short walk then brought us to The Rolling Mill, where the atmosphere grew livelier. After a couple of drinks and a leisurely shuffle around, everyone was chatting to new faces, all helped along by BullRun’s primary sponsor, Debrett’s, a pillar of British culture and the authority on corporate finance.
We rounded off the route in style at the Rose Villa Tavern, where everyone tucked into a delicious hog roast, or a hearty veggie burger, courtesy of Outback Hog Roasts. Our final sponsor, TAG Accountants, are trusted specialists in all things numbers: a team of Tax Advisors, Business Advisors and Chartered Accountants, ready to offer comprehensive support for you and your business.
From the first pint poured to the final raffle prize drawn, the atmosphere was electric!
“Chief matador B.D. kept us on our toes as we swept through Colmore Row and the Jewellery Quarter…ole!”
This tradition isn’t just about raising money — it’s about people coming together, having fun and doing something good along the way. None of it would be possible without the brilliant venues who hosted us, our generous sponsors – Debrett’s, Speed One Sports, React Energy, Rockfine Group and TAG Accountants – and every single runner, donor and volunteer who made this year’s event the success it was.
Started back in 2009, this brings the overall total for BullRun events to an outstanding £118,000 of financial donations for West Midlands charities.
Thank you for continuing to prove that when our community pulls together, we really can make a difference — and have a cracking time doing it. Here’s to next year!
